新型コロナウイルス感染症に関する市長メッセージ（令和3年8月18日掲載）

こんにちは、市長の松丸修久でございます。

市民の皆さまには、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大防止に、多大なるご理解とご協力を賜り厚く御礼を申し上げます。また、新型コロナウイルスワクチン接種をはじめ、医療の最前線で患者の皆さまの治療に尽力されている医療機関の皆さまには、心から敬意を表します。

政府は令和3年8月17日（火曜）、全国の新規感染者が先週末には2万人を超え、危機的状況にあることから、感染力の強いデルタ株の影響が特に大きい、茨城県など7府県に対して、令和3年8月20日（金曜）から9月12日（日曜）までの24日間、大型商業施設への入場制限や酒類の提供停止を含む罰則付きの行動制限が実施できる「緊急事態宣言」の対象地域に追加いたしました。

茨城県においても、新型コロナウイルスの感染者が、8月14日（土曜）には過去最多の391人を記録し、16日（月曜）までの4日間では、新たに1,150人の新規感染者が確認されるなど、医療提供体制も非常にひっ迫していることから、医療機関に対して、不急の入院や手術の延期などによる最大限の病床確保を要請するなど、通常医療を抑制せざるを得ない事態を迎えています。

市では現在、市民の皆さまの安全を最優先に一日でも早く、ワクチン接種が行えるよう、医療機関での個別接種をはじめ、保健センターでの集団接種、県の大規模接種等により、おおむね10月下旬までには接種率が80パーセントになるよう、全力で取り組んでおります。

市民の皆さまお一人おひとりが、感染拡大に関する危機感を今まで以上に共有していただき、基本的な感染対策の徹底と感染リスクの高まる行動を控えていただくことで、ご家族やご自身、社会を守ることにつながります。皆様には改めまして、この深刻な状況をご理解いただき、最大限の感染拡大防止の徹底にご協力をお願いいたします。

Dear citizens of Moriya,

This is Nobuhisa Matsumaru, the Mayor of Moriya.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all citizens of Moriya for your great understanding and cooperation in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. I would also like to express my deepest respect to all medical institutions, who are at the forefront of the pandemic, for making great efforts to treat patients and being in charge of the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The number of new COVID-19 infections has exceeded 20,000 cases nationwide last weekend and the situation is critical due to the highly contagious Delta variant. Therefore, on August 17th, the government has added 7 prefectures - including Ibaraki prefecture - to the list of areas where the “State of Emergency” is declared for a period of 24 days from August 20th until September 12th. Under the “State of Emergency” the restriction of activities - such as limits for the number of visitors of large commercial facilities and the suspension of the provision of alcoholic beverages - can be requested. Disobeying these requests for restrictions can result in fines.

In Ibaraki prefecture, the number of new COVID-19 infections has reached a record high of 391 cases on August 14th, and 1150 cases were confirmed during the four days until August 16th. Since this situation causes a lot of pressure for the medical support system, we have no other choice but to scale down regular medical care services, for example by requesting medical institutions to secure the maximum number of beds by postponing non-urgent hospitalization and surgeries.

Currently, in Moriya city we are doing our best to be able to achieve a vaccination rate of 80% by the end of October by offering opportunities to get vaccinated - such as individual vaccinations at medical institutions, mass vaccinations at the health center as well as the large-scale vaccination organized by Ibaraki prefecture, etc. - in order to give top priority to the health and safety of our citizens

Moriya city asks all citizens to take the sense of crisis regarding the spread of the infection more seriously than ever. Thoroughly implementing basic infection prevention measures and refraining from all actions that could possibly lead to an increased infection risk will contribute to the safety of your family, yourselves and our society. We highly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
