大型連休を迎えるにあたっての外出自粛のお願い（市長メッセージ：5月1日午後5時掲載）

市民の皆様
市長の松丸修久でございます。
　
緊急事態宣言が発令され、市民の皆様には外出自粛をはじめとする感染予防対策に、ご協力いただき心から感謝申し上げます。

いまだに、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の収束が見通せない中、国は緊急事態宣言の期間を延長するとの報道がなされています。 守谷市においては、既に、市内の小中学校の休業期間や施設の利用制限を5月末まで延長することに決定をいたしました。

市では、皆様の健康と安全安心を少しでも確保するため、4月25日から、除菌効果がある酸性電解水を市役所や公民館で配布をしております。また、国から配布される布マスクとは別に、市独自に不織布マスクとマスクの内側にセットして使用するマスクインナー各5枚と、合わせて、「守谷市テイクアウト応援クーポン券」も、全世帯に配布を始めました。対象者お一人につき10万円を給付する、特別定額給付金につきましては、特別定額給付金対策室を設置し、早急に皆様に給付できよう対応しております。詳細につきましては、順次ホームページ等でお知らせしてまいります。
　
ここ数日においては、全国で新規感染者数の増加が、やや鈍化している傾向が見られますが、依然として、予断を許さない状況であります。 明日からは大型連休が始まりますが、今こそ、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の防止にご協力をいただく大切な時期になります。皆様、お一人おひとりの行動が、ご家族や自らの命を守り、社会を守ることにつながります。
　
あらためて、全ての市民の皆様にお願いをいたします。一日も早い事態の収束に向け、不要不急の外出と感染リスクの高い「密閉」、「密集」、「密接」を、絶対に避けていただきますよう、ご理解とご協力をお願い申し上げます。
　
当たり前にあった日常が 急に変わってしまった。我々が経験したことの無い闇の時代を体験しているのだと思います。市民の皆様はもとより、我々行政も突然の変化にとまどっております。それでも、職員一人ひとりが市民の皆様の健康と安全を守るために必死に頑張っています。 こんな時だからこそ、今まで気づかなかった小さなこと、当たり前にあった環境が、実は自分にとってどれだけ素晴らしい人や、物事に囲まれていたんだろうと、あらためて考える時なのかもしれません。
　
暗闇の中の、皆様お一人おひとりの小さな光が集まって、未来を照らす大きな光となり、一日でも早く明るい夜明けが来るよう、力を合わせて頑張って参りましょう。この困難を乗り越えるため、我々も精一杯努力してまいります。乗り越えた先にある、明るい未来を目指して、あと少し、我慢の道を一緒に歩んでください。

Dear citizens,
This is Nobuhisa Matsumaru, the Mayor of Moriya.

I would like to thank all of you for taking measures to avoid the spread of the infection, such as refraining from going out, since the state of emergency was declared.

Considering that the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has not yet stopped, Japan will prolong the duration of the state of emergency, according to press reports. In Moriya, the decision to prolong the duration of the closure of elementary and middle schools as well as the restrictions concerning the utilization of the city’s facilities until the end of May has already been made.

To contribute to the safety of all of you in Moriya, starting on April 25th acidic electrolyzed water, which can be used for disinfection, is distributed at city hall and the community centers. Also, separately from the distribution of cloth masks by the government, Moriya city has started distributing five non-woven cloth masks and mask inlay sheets to all households, together with “Moriya Takeout Support Coupons”. Regarding the special fixed-sum cash handout of 100,000 yen per eligible person, a special task force has been established to organize the process as soon as possible. The details will be announced on this website.

The increase of new infections across Japan has slowed down during the last few days, but nevertheless the situation remains unpredictable. Despite the Golden Week holiday period starting tomorrow, right now is the most important time for your cooperation to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The actions of every one of you contribute to protecting the lives of your family and yourself as well as protecting society as a whole.
Therefore, I would like to repeat my request to all citizens: Please avoid unnecessary and non-urgent outings as well as the “3 C’s” (closed and crowded spaces where people interact in close proximity), which pose a high infection risk, by all means.

Our ordinary everyday lives have suddenly changed and the dark times we are now experiencing are unprecedented. Of course, these unexpected changes cause confusion to all of you and to public administration as well. Nevertheless, every city employee is working hard to protect the health and safety of Moriya’s citizens. Maybe this is a time for us to realize the small things we failed to notice and to become aware of how many wonderful people and things surround us, that we have taken for granted.

The small light that every single one of you emits will become a large beam of light shining on the future. Let’s all work together to so that soon a bright dawn will follow! We are all giving our best to overcome this crisis. Please be patient for a little while, as a step to aim for the bright future.
