Exchange Meeting for Foreign Residents（外国人のための交流会）を開催しました

市民協働推進課では、多文化共生イベント「外国人のための交流会」を令和6年12月6日（金曜）にもりりん中央（中央公民館）で開催しました。

これは、守谷市在住の外国人に守谷市について知ってもらうとともにニーズを把握したり、参加者同士の交流を目的として行ったものです。

国際交流員シルビアさんによる生活オリエンテーションでは、

• 守谷市公式ホームページの多言語表示の仕方
• ごみの出し方
• 災害時の備えと対応や情報収集方法

などを説明しました。

後半はグループに分かれて交流会を実施。
交流会では、「守谷のすきなところ」「自国のいいところ」「守谷市に求めるサービス」などが話し合われ、おすすめのお店の情報や外国語の習得の仕方なども話題に上りました。

参加者からは、

• 素晴らしかったです！ ご尽力に感謝したします。
• 交流会がとても気に入りました。
• 外国人の方がどのような悩みや思いがあるか知れて良かったです。外国人の方をどのようにサポートできるか参考になりました。

などの感想が寄せられました。

市民協働推進課では、参加者のアンケートなども参考に、今後の事業運営や情報提供を進めていきます。

 

Exchange Meeting for Foreign Residents

 

The Division for Citizen Cooperation hosted a multicultural “Exchange Meeting for Foreign Residents” on December 6 （Fri）.

The purpose of this events was to give foreign citizens the chance to learn about Moriya City, to understand their needs and to interact with other participants.

At first, Sylvia, the city’s CIR, gave an introduction about daily life in Moriya. Topics included
- Changing the city’s homepage language settings
- Garbage disposal
- Disaster prevention and information gathering

In the latter half of the event, participants were divided into groups to talk about what they like about Moriya, their home countries and services they would like to receive in Moriya. Many also shared recommendations for restaurants or language education.

When asked about their opinion, voices ranged from “This was wonderful! Thank you so much” and “It was really nice to talk to other participants” to “I learned about concerns and challenges non-Japanese residents face. I participated because I wanted to know how I can support foreign residents.”

The Division for Citizen Cooperation will use the results from the questionnaire as a reference for future projects and provision of information.
